Originally this client wanted a logo that included some kind of globe and shield. The company specializes in surveillance equipment and is looking towards the future and aims to become a global security brand. However, after several different rounds of designing, the it was ultimately decided that the shield felt a little too much like law enforcement. Several design options were presented with elements from the original designs, sans shield, but none of them were hitting the mark. At the suggestion of MakeMedia, a final round of designs was presented in which the iris and glass of a lens was explored. It was this round of designs that Optical Patrol chose it’s logo.
